@spacecatmoonbeam - surely you had had or heard of bean sprouts in stir fry - those off white two inch long sprouts you get in packets or bulk in Asian markets - they are mung sprouts - so they are cooked.

Why do you sprout them and then cook rather than eating raw? Is the flavour different when they are sprouted?

I have a question about sprouting. I just started sprouting lentils and they have been soaked and sitting to sprout but a few have a black spot on them. Do you know why? Are they rotten? Thanks!

Hi
I have never seen black spots when i sprout. I soak my lentils over night or at least 5-6 hours and then drain out all water and wrap them in cheese cloth and allow it to sprout about 8 hours and they come out great..
