@peguinetoes simply not true. when i was growing up there was very little affection between fathers and their children. most fathers i meet nowadays are wonderfully loving to their kids.

TV progeamming these days shows nothing but disrespect from kids(shown to be funny)and failure as role models parents are . Sad sad world we live in.....

check out Star Trek NG. An episode where Data is in charge of an away mission, something goes wrong and a boy is orphaned. Data tries to be a parent to him, and an alien from the planet tries as well. the boy looks like Mark.
