I would like to add to the discussion below a little from my perspective...

I don't see any evidence of people committing bid'a here.

But, as soon as you start claiming it is either permitted or forbidden in Quran or Sunna then you are committing bid'a. So, please, refrain from throwing accusations at each other.

This is an innocent and beatiful art and its done with the Almighty in mind and heart. I approve.

You said it yourself: they want to be with Allah (SWT) and in my eyes that cannot be wrong or haram. Tasawwuf is the soul of Islam and we need that more than anything noweverdays. Not strict dogmatism. We need to convey the message of love and piece which Islam stands for and not lecture about hell and heaven. Show people the greatness of Allah (SWT) by loving all that is created by Allah (SWT) Muslims, non Muslims anybody /everybody created by Allah (SWT) should be loved and cherished.

@sightsandsoundsofpak Amin to that, I do admire Sufism cause of its openness and inclusiveness, I'm a Muslim and I take ideas from Sufism, and I notice when I try love everyone for the God's sake I feel so much better, if feels great to have love in your heart, hate just poisons you and turns you into a monster.

Allah (SWT) Loves One Who Is Only Concerned With His/Her Own Business...One Should Also Not Judge What Nor Question Another As He/She Does Not Know His/Her Status Before The Almighty Lord Allah (SWT)..Besides...One Has Not Been With Another Every Second Of Anothers Life In Which They May Have Done Such A Great Deed Before The Eyes Of His/Her "Creator Allah (SWT)"

I think the pure and clear Muslims tend to be Sufi.

I'm not saying that non-Sufi Muslims are not pure.

What I mean is only decent person chooses to be Sufi (at least it seems to me so)
