The one and only video of the Legend of Qurra Sheikh Muhammed Medyen himself !!! Sheikh Muhammed Medyen was one of the first qaris I ever listened to as a kid even before Qari Abdul Basit RA. In my eyes Shiekh Muhammed Medyen will always be amongst the top !!!
Alot of people are under the impression that the sheikh has passed away, however he is still alive and currently lives in Alexandria, Egypt.
This is a video of the Sheikh's tour to South Africa in 2010.

He is the first Qari I listened to in my childhood too! I have a tape of him at a London mosque, which no-one has, i've tried to get it up on youtube but it says theres an error, Inshallah I'll try and sort it out soon!

Jabir bhai ap jis shiekh ki Audio recitations ki bat ker rahay hain na ju famous hain jinki Sorah Furqan hay Qamer Rahman etc famous hain tilawatain hain wo abdul rauf madyen hain. ju tilawat ap keh rahay hain ap mujhy link dain

He was shiekh Abdul Rauf Madyen not Mohammad madyen. he is copying to shiekh Abdul Mun'am tukhy RA. but shiekh abdul rauf madyen's style was real original his own

@ashqekhuda he aint copying sheikh Tukhi RA, they are both similar ages and are from same city !! possibly studied together, ive seen a gathering where sheikh Tukhi RA is reciting and Sheikh Medyen is sitting on side, they both look same age.... if not sheikh medyen looks slightly older.
