A quick demonstration of G-Dec Junior. I recommend this as a near perfect practice amp for beginner and advanced guitarists. Tuner, metronome, backing tracks, midi socket, headphone jack, and assorted tones is great for an amp under $160.

Thanks to everyone for the views, ratings and comments!!

  • may i know how does the tuner work?

  • @afiqfalif It's more of a "tuning fork" type of tuner. It gives you the "A" tone, but you have to manually tune your guitar from there. If you don't trust your ear enough to tune, then I recommend an inexpensive "Korg" tuner ($10-20 U.S.). A Korg will do just fine.

  • i hav a question if u dont hav an amp is it not gona sound good cuz i just got my guitar yesterday and i dont kno really much bout this stuff

  • @Bluedip21 Nah...not necessarily. I don't think the "most expensive" items are necessarily the best sounding. I've played a Fender Squire and a Japanese made Strat clone that sounded better than a lot of high end guitars off the store rack. A good setup is important....but trust in the techniques you develop. Expensive equipment can't rescue someone from poor technique.

  • Can you please post more videos with this amp and guitar combo! I want to know what the humbucker is like on that guitar? Do you think the guitar is good for Hendrix, Zeppelin, Clapton, and other rock artist stuff?

  • It has a Seymour Duncan humbucker, but I wasn't using it on this particular song. But the pickup sounds awesome if you want to go with a heavier sound.

Yes....and the Lonestar is very affordable. If your playing Hendrix, Zep or Clapton, I would say that a Strat is preferable to any other kind of guitar.

  • Hey everyone,

I am buying an amp within the next week or two and I was thinking of getting either the Mustang 1 or the G-DEC Junior. I only need it for practice and yes I am a beginner. I also bought the Zoom G1XN Multi Effects pedal so I am not too worried about presets and everything. I am just curious as to which amp is better because I was going to go w/Line Spider, but it has too much metal effects for me. Thanks for all your help!!!

  • i got this amp used for 20 bucks and it is awesome!!!!

  • I'll weigh in on that! I'm posting this in the basement of this really whack hotel here in Duluth,MN, I just got a G-dec Jr. about a month ago, & believe me, It kicks ass!! I'm going to an audition tomorrow with it, yeah, it may just be a practice amp, but can anybody repeat after me? MIKE IT TO A P. A.!!!

  • its 50W power use, but 15W RMS speaker.
