KDCU Noticias Univision Kansas Montage (HD), 4/20/11

This is a brief look at some of the elements of Wichita's Univision affiliate's first newscast, which aired on April 20, 2011. Much of KWCH's influence is seen and heard throughout due to the fact that it is operated by a Joint Services Agreement through the owner of that station. The weather is noticeably different from either KWCH or KSAS as it is provided by Accuweather.

Of interest is the promotional point of the newscast being the first in spanish in Kansas. This is actually incorrect as KSMI, during it's time as an Azteca America affiliate, produced an early afternoon half-hour newscast for several years during the past decade.
