Harvesting and storing filberts or hazelnuts is done by allowing the nuts to fall off the tree naturally, drying them out in the sun on a piece of paper or glass and storing them in plastic to keep them fresh. Enjoy hazelnuts with berries, covered in sugar or lightly salted with advice from a sustainable gardener in this free video on gardening.
