An early prototype of Xbox SmartGlass (that didn't have that name yet) was shown months before the Wii U's E3 2011 debut. In fact the Xbox SmartGlass concept is even in the leaked documents from 2010 that also show the "Xbox 720" and they're looking very likely to be real. (Although the next-gen Xbox's specs are supposed to have changed since then.)
