One problem people have when filming an animal while giving birth is they pull the head away so they can see what's going on, and it pisses me off....just let them do their thing.

why is everyone assuming that cats and hamsters are the same... a hamster will eat it's babies if you've touched it, cats and dogs do not....

@sammiecutie1 I watched my neighbors cat have her kittens recently, and as soon as her kid touched one of them, the mother hissed and then proceeded in devouring the poor kitten....if that specific kitten had some type of deformation I wasnt able to tell, because I am in fact NOT a vet. As far as I know it was because the kid put his germs all over it. Either way,I really dont care, its a cat.....have a nice day. :)

@1tazz1111 when my cat was giving birth to her first litter, 2 out of the 5 kittens were in its sack for around 20-25 seconds because the cat was moving around the towel too much, so my mom broke the sack so it can breathe....otherwise, 2 of the kittens would most likely be dead if my mom didnt break the sack around the kitten!!!

@sexymama5583 um sorry to break your spirit of trying to be smart, but they only eat their kittenS (emphasis on the S cuz she will eat all of them) if one or more have birth defects or deformation then the cat will eat them

as long as the animal trusts you (clear way to know that she does is when it looks for you once it began to give birth and looks at you during),you can totally help out in the birth like pulling out a breech would be really helpful t the c

I've seen my cats through many litters over the years, YES you can help, and OF COURSE the mother will not EAT the baby. Come on! Wild animals, perhaps (and even that is rare) but a domesticated cat is not going to eat it's baby if it smells it's owners scent on it...don't talk about something you know nothing about.
