oh, he's definitely gorgeous. the puppy video looked like he had light eyes,
so i thought he was a mix, but i would've guessed the irish coat next.
i'm told they're not supposed to get much heavier than 40 or so pounds.
mine gets just merrick's dried food.. and i throw in some olive oil sometimes.
and treats, of course.

@littleoldal Finn actually does have rather light coloured eyes.. still brown but with a bit of gold! We feed him ACANA lamb and apple dog food since he has a bit of a chicken allergy.. and give him dried sweet potatoes and lamb treats on the side. We also feed his dry kibble mixed with water so he gets lots of hydration while he eats to help his kidneys process the food. Seems to work well.. very little eye goop and his ... "business" is nice and firm. :)

is this coat still "soft?"
mine was about 40 pounds at 9 months.
he's about 5 years old now, and he fluctuates to about 45lbs.

@littleoldal haha, yup most definitely a wheaten! but for the longest time people thought exactly what you did... mixed breed because he was so scruffy! Yes his coat is "soft" but at this point (1 year old).. not as soft as an english coated wheaten... it'll get softer over the next 2 years. This type of coat also takes a bit longer to mature but once it does he'll be gorgeous! very shiny and silky... google irish coated soft coated wheaten terrier! they're VERY beautiful!

@littleoldal PS... finn is going to be 1 on nov 8th .. and he's about 42-43 pounds now! he also fancies himself a lap dog! so i feel every one of those 40+pounds when he sits on me! :) haha
