This is what it's all about,,,
A personal message from
Larry Collins, Captain
Fishing Vessel Autumn Gale
&
President,
San Francisco Crab Boat Owners Association
Commercial salmon fishing is a San Francisco Bay Area
tradition. But it's a way-of-life facing extinction.
This video is not about water rights, quotas, government
regulations or market forces.
It is designed to do one thing.
To show you What it's like to catch a wild California King Salmon.
This is how we catch them.
With a single line,
our hands and,
a lot of hard work.
We're proud of what we do.
We feed people healthy food.
We protect the environment.
We take care of our families.
So, just for a couple minutes,
see our passion
When you do, you'll
better understand why
we fight hard
to keep this historic
industry alive and healthy.
Thank you, for watching.
I guess that during some point in the future these magnificent fish will go extinct because of lack of spawning habitat and a crashed delta ecosystem. I love snorkeling with them, so much raw power!

I own a commercial salmon boat in SF, but had to give up fishing because of all the problems going on these days. Love the video...makes me miss it.
