Bionicle 2001 - 2002 Tribue

Remembering the time when bionicle was at it's hight. Before they changed the plot and what everyone seems to enjoy over these new bionicles that lego has spawned. i feel more imagination was put into the original bionicle then the newer stuff. allot of those who didnt grow up with the original would say that they suck just because they don't have as many peaces. they may not be as intricate as the newer bionicle but sometimes the simplest things are the coolest, and the first bionicle are by fare more interesting and way cooler then the new stuff.

Orignal bionicle box set: 20 peices; New bionicle box set: 7 peices,

Orignal Canisters: 40 peices; New Canisters: 55 peices,

Orignal Titan: 450 peices; New Titans: 450 peices.

The new ones only beat out the old by 15 peices, and the old were only 2/3s the price! Plus they were inovative and did stuff. And what do you mean they're less introcate? You would have to build one or two to know how to make the old ones. The new ones you just need to look at the box.

T_T Touching. Even more now that Bionicles been replaced. BUT, I have a theory. A co-worker at the lego store told me that Bionicles gonna come back in 2010. sigh. I guessed he was trying to make me feel better, but I have not lost all hope. We as Bionicle fans must rise up and get our beloved toyline and nice storyline back. WE MUST NOT GUVE IN! WE MUST TELL GREG FARSHTEY THAT HERO FACTORY IS A PIECE OF BOHROK CRAP! WE MUST TELL HIM THAT WE MISS BIONICLES DRAMA,ACTION,AND DEEP STORY!

@dannabel16 I know... Lego does tend to just go for the simplest building strategy, but they are slightly held back by the age limits- by that time more younger lego fans were getting into the buildable figure line. Guess thats why they came up with the new building system. Simpler and in a way a more of a system rather than so many different elements, like bionicle.

@Ozkabot yeah, no, i know what you mean, but lego changed designers for bionicle right when they stopped making characters with the original designs, and so if they remade the old ones, they wouldve still found a way to screw them up. i have nothing against lego or bionicle, but only that designer

@BionicKing I know I remember when making these it took like 5 minutes but when I stopped collecting them it took like 20 minutes.Would you agree that the 2001-2002 sets were the best?

@BionicKing when i said that the origenal were less introcate i meant that they had less peaces and it was very easy to know how to build them just by looking at the box which with several newer sets i wouldnt know how to just by the box(this does not include the newest). i dont keep track of how many peaces are in every bionicle set iv just heard alot of kids say how they like the newer ones better and how the older ones are dumb cause they have and or do less stuff(their opinion not mine).
