That sounds exactly right, five updates in two years. Same amount of GH updates in the same amount of time. It is just pure laziness on her end. GH will most likely be boring and Mob invaded until she is replaced, which I hope is soon.

She did the same at OLTL during her tenure. In September 1998 they updated, then February 1999, and after that she waited till last week of December 1999 to update the opening. In April 2000 she updated the opening without several contract cast members(Melanie). She finally added them in November 2000 after a 7-month period. It's no surprise she would do this at GH. I don't watch anymore, but the opening was updated on Tuesday.

It's not the company or whoever that changes the openings. All of that is up to the executive producer, such as Jill Farren Phelps' sorry a*s. She must think that it is entirely impossible. I think that July was a bit long ago...

You'd think they'd have one for the 45th anniversary. But not even a hint that it was even the 45th anniversary. (I found out today).

i wonder why AMC is the only one semi-consistent with updating their opening. i wonder if they are all made by the same people. hmm. if so, the lack of updates for this and OLTL is bizarre.

GH really needs to update this opening. The opening still includes characters like Coop, Georgie, and Skye, while characters like Claudia and Johnny need to be added! Grrr...

They need to change the opening (not the song) a lot of new people are on but a lot are off. but they should wait til may, when emily goes off the show

I started a message board thread on soaps. com, and that led to me searching the net. There's a little bit of info under the "News & Gossip" page on SoapZone.
One thing I'm not sure of though, is if it is a new version, or a brand new themed opening. Guess we're gonna have to wait and see...
