I like what you have to say. As an administrator, I don't think it is our intent to hurt children. We do the best we can with the resources we are provided. Do you think parents play a role in making the educational environment better for their children. I am not saying put them in different schools but make the local schools better. Most teachers in urban public schools are unhappy. If you can teach go to the best school you can find, because even in a suburb the job is overwhelming. In an urban setting it is impossible and hard, though it does have some inspiring moments.

Thank you for this video, I attended horrible under funded, "inner city" schools from the age 13 on up. I think I'm one of the lucky ones, having made it into a good four year university (which I am currently attending), and maintaining a 3.5 average! I can do better of course, but urban education is something that I am passionate about now, having been through the urban public school system, and as an emotionally disturbed student (bipolar/depression).

Videos like these need more views.
