maemo theremin on Nokia N810

My first application for maemo and Nokia N810. It is a musical instrument similar to theremin (because you can control pitch and volume continuously). Here I play simple melodies with it: Yankee Doodle and Beyond The Sunset. I'm not very good at playing because I'm not a musician and I have been playing that thing for about 4 days only :-). Looking forward for your performances with maemo theremin!

Hi, glad to hear that you liked my application!!! Do you use N8x0 or N900? In my opinion, N8x0 is better for this app, because it has bigger screen and it is easier to control the sound.

Unfortunately, in the light of recent Nokia alliance with Microsoft, looks like the maemo tablets/phones will not be produced anymore :(.

Hmm... looks more like a keyboard than a theremin. You don't really touch theremins when you play them...

@ThereminWorld yes, but, you can do legato which you can't do using keyboard.

Theremin has two antennas, one of them control frequency of the sound, the second one controls the volume of the sound. Here you have somewhat similar thing, but the frequency is controlled by horizontal position of tap point and the volume is controlled by vertical. This is a similarity I see with theremin.
