The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Secrets of Skyrim - How To Make The Best Possible Equipment

A guide on how you can make the best gear in Skyrim. This is complex and confusing, but once you're through it one time, you'll have a set of gear that will allow you to continue the process from Step 3 over and over again! :D Below is my best attempt at explaining it via text.

Step 1: Get smithing, alchemy, and enchanting to 100. Also, make sure you have these perks:

Enchanting - Enchanter 5/5 and Insightful Enchanter
Alchemy - Alchemist 5/5 and Benefactor
Smithing - Arcane Blacksmith and the perk for whatever armor you are wanting to craft

**From now on, anytime you are enchanting something, use a Grand Soul.**

Step 2: Enchant a set of Fortify Alchemy gear (Healmet, Bracers, Amulet, Ring). Make sure each piece has a 25% bonus to alchemy.

Step 3: Put on your 25% Alchemy gear and using a combination of two of the following four ingredients; Blue Butterfly Wing, Hagraven Claw, Snowberries, and Spriggan Sap, craft 2-3 Fortify Enchanting potions. Make sure these potions increase your enchanting by 30%.

Step 4: Drink one of your new Fortify Enchanting potions and while under the effect of the potion enchant a new set of Fortify Alchemy gear (Helmet, Bracers, Amulet, Ring). Be aware that you only have 30 seconds per potion to enchant the gear, so if you run out of time, have another one handy to finish the job. Make sure that this gear increases your Alchemy by 28%.

Step 5: Put your NEW 28% set of Alchemy gear on and make another 2-3 Fortify Enchanting Potions. Make sure that these potions increase your Enchanting by 32%. These are the best fortify enchanting potions that you can make.

Step 6: Drink the +32% Enchanting potion and while under the effects make a new set of gear as follows:

Helmet - 29% Alchemy
Armor - 29% Smithing
Bracers - 29% Alchemy & Smthing
Amulet - 29% Alchemy & Smithing
Ring - 29% Alchemy & Smithing

Step 7: Put on your new 29% gear and create a couple more Fortify Echanting Potions (just to have) and also combine two of the following four ingredients; Blisterwort, Glowing Mushroom, Sabre Cat Tooth, and Spriggan Sap, and create a Fortify Smithing potion. Make sure your new Smithing potion is 130%.

Step 8: Craft your gear! Make whatever you weapons or armor that you want to make. Before you enchant them make sure you drink one of your 32% Enchanting potions first. Before you upgrade them, make sure you're wearing your 29% Alchemy/Smithing set and drink one of your 130% Smithing potions.

Congrats on all the hard work. Believe me, when you're followers are 1 and 2 shotting Mammoths and Giants with their new Daedric weapons, you'll be glad you took the time :D

  • How do you press A again?

  • what if the giants dont respawn?

  • I sometimes don't get a Giants toe from killing a giant, some must have no toes apparently.

  • @madbadJim ur retarded

  • @TrendKiLLv01 wait, so if I have all of the heightened armor rating perks, and then I do this, I have an 80% damage loss?

  • @madbadJim Not leveling would make the game boring, sure the enemies would be easy but you're bound to level up regardless. Plus dragons would be the hardest piece of shit to kill. You would want to kill Alduin while you're level 5 and your follower has better equipment then you? I don't think so.

  • @TheSuperfagg You aren't answering me. you said "The higher the level the harder the enemies" so tell me.. If higher the level higher the enemies.. the why level ? Are you sure thats a fact? For instance maybe skeletons stay the same... What say you superfag?

  • master difficulty was fun. still wish alduin was more tough. i owe my thanks to chillrend

  • I just beat the game on Masters Diffuiculty and omg that shit was hard even with my archery level 90 O.O

  • what if i beat the game then use the oghma infinium glitch because thats what i did
