Just shooting a few rounds through my new GSG it was pretty cold out and I noticed the slide seemed a bit sluggish from time to time which is why it failed to feed on the 2nd shot.

  • question. I have a SIG 1911-22 , that is essentially what you have that I am putting an AAC Element supressor on. The supressor is 1" in diameter. Does the can you have come flush with the top of the slide, of does it extend above and obstruct the sight plane? If it does, did you put taller sights on to accomodate for the obstrusction? If it extends above the slide, by about how much if you can guestimate? Thanks

  • @GOOTENAGEN the 22Sparrow is slightly over 1" but not much 1.080 or something like that if memory serves. I did not get taller sights and haven't even had to swap out front sight posts. The suppressor does not obstruct my sight plane I just screw it on and shoot. The Sig should be the same story and you will love it as a .22 host.

  • You only shot 4 rounds unsuppressed and 6 suppressed!

  • @Geecheeman True but the fail to feed threw me off haha.

  • Gotta love that first round pop.

  • Your suppressor looked bent. I really dig the echo you had goin' on there. Sounded like a war zone...

  • @Bluewidowr1 thank you very much for your response. I have the SIG 1911 at the gun smith to see if he can smooth out the trigger sisnce it is a total disaster. If that succeeds, I am going to trow on some high DAWSON fiber optic sights. They are great . I figure whats another $160.00 for a project that is already at $1300.00+

  • wow that sounded strange before you put on the silencer LOL
