This is a short clip of my 2002 Stage II WRX on the dyno. She put down 227/219.

I am running the stock TD04 with a Catless Helix up pipe, STi TMIC, and catless COBB Downpipe, and Stromung TBE with Dual Tip Muffler. Engine management is handled by a Cobb Access Port that has been protuned.

The black puffs of smoke are normal on a high milage turbo car with no cats...it is carbon build up that is being blown off of the manifolds.

The numbers are a little lower than what can be achieved with my mods.

No, they don't. Stock hp is 180. This car was not stock.

  • what were the numbers???

  • 227whp / 219 torque

Nothing really special, my engine is getting a little tired. I am the 4th owner, and it just rolled over 100k.

I am currently building a 2.5 bottom end to swap into it.

  • @ddr85 DON'T TELL SUBARU!! They'll say you abused the gear box.... that is the reason i will not buy a WRX unless it's already got a 6 speed or upgraded gears.

  • dude my 03 wrx has 99xxx and is putting down 208whp with stock motor, stock turbo,k&n typhoon, grimmspeed lightend crank pulley cobb accessport and a hks hi-power

  • @13udShowcase420 Learn the difference between crank power measurements and wheel power measurements.

  • @13udShowcase420

227 wheel horsepower. Do some drivetrain hp loss calculations and the engine is in the range of 280 to 300 horsepower

  • 02 wrx's come stock w 227 hp.........?

  • My 02 is doing 400whp and still goin up

  • nice clean rexy man

    love it

  • The thing about numbers is that they're JUST numbers. There are too many variables, including the type of dyno and ambient air temp etc., that will have an affect on what numbers your car will put down.

  • 2.5 swap w/the 2.0 head? you're better off doing the 2.2l stroke fyi. and you're doing the version 6 gears for your bugeye? you're better off putting money into the MFactory, or STI swap
