Completely agree with you! God (of the Bible) expects reason, in fact the definition of faith includes complete evidence behind your belief (and discourages any form of blind following - that is where we get the term "blind leading the blind"). Also, the existence of "religion" suggests there is an alternative to God's standards (man's idiot ways or "religion" that cause all the problems). Really, if everybody actually followed the Bible there would be no more wars.

One can not reason with religious people because in order to be religious you have to abandon reason. Blind faith is the purest form of idiocy I have ever heard of being mentioned. This is why I don't argue with christians unless I am extremely bored.
I just have to say I don't find a nomad religion from Middle-East that was brought to my country with swords, very compelling. To me religions are what is wrong with this world.

You have an apt argument - why would a god of love throw people in a burning hell? Well, he doesn't and it is sad that people believe that. Hellfire is a pre-Christian idea that may have originated in pagan Babylon. People today misconstrue the "Lake of Fire" which means destruction (with no pain) with Hellfire. Acts in the King James version says Jesus spent three days in Hell (most modern translations say the grave), so obviously it is not a place of torture...
