i don't think there is any need to abandon our hope in god because we developed science and reasoning. the two can live in total harmony with each other. i believe in god because i choose to believe in god. i choose to believe because without god i will never get to meet up with old departed family members or friends ever again and the wicked who slipped from justice on this earth will never face true justice in the other. so i choose god (and science and reasoning)

@DaAlphaOmega You're absolutely correct. The question or problem of "Where did morality come from" is a straw-man fallacy. Morality is a problem that religion creates just to explain it with God. Even monkeys can show empathy and a general understanding of right and wrong.
