@CDTheBookMan I have to say I wasnt a fan of how they scrapped everything i love in an ff game. They gutted the entire exploration element, killed the shop and equipment system, and wholly casualized the battle mechanics. I mean retrying a battle is convenient and all, but its just jarring to see in an ff game, as well as a replenished health bar after a battle. And that auto battle button? WHY... there is no point to it, if they literally took all existing copies of the game and pulled the auto

no no no, this game is an abomination! come on now, if you want a good final fantasy, play Final Fantasy IX

@ddvs2012 I liked the battle dynamic and the characters. The storyline itself is as confusing as ancient Sanskrit, but I appreciated the battle schematic and the leveling up tree as well.

@CDTheBookMan hmmm, did you play any other final fantasys? This one and X-2 were the only ones i couldnt finish out of disgust

@ddvs2012 Have I played other Final Fantasies? My good man, what kind of a question is that? I played through I, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, the Japanese II and III that weren't released on this side of the globe until recently: I've played through pretty much all of them. X-2 I did stop immediately. I had no idea what they were doing with the leveling up system.

@CDTheBookMan button, it would have zero bearing on gameplay. All this isnt even mentioning that godawful story. I dont know, i want to say that if you are a fan, you should let ff13-2 pass you by, but hey if you liked the game you liked the game. At this point ive lost all faith in square anyway. But let me sincerely ask you this, are you honestly happy with the direction square is taking the franchise?

@ddvs2012 What I liked about the dynamic was flipping through paradigms: That gave it a feel of battle strategy. The storyline made virtually no sense, to some extent. I understood what they were doing but it was a rather strange way of doing it. I don't think I've been really thoroughly into a Final Fantasy storyline since III/VI though. After that, they just kind of got way over the top.
