Regarding "how to hold your sticks" hold them any way you want, it's irrelevant until you start playing sloppy. If you can play the notes clean, hold them with your toes if you like.

The key to any instrument is dedicated practice.

theres already a snare solo named paradiddle paradise so and its a legit grade six solo from the book "contest solos for the advanced snare drummer" and its copy righted so i highly suggest you change the name.
