quisumbing should know better that the congress passed the CARP. 144 hectares is a family wealth and should be protected at all times. militant organizers are a bunch of predators that will strike anything at any opportunity. it is a daytime robbery using the guidelines of CARP. they're creating havoc economically and politically.

if you own more than 6 hectares of land zoned for agricuture, the rest of your parcel will be subject to CARP and DAR will distribute the remaining parcel to the next peasant. what kind of shit is that? DAR does exercise their gestapo tactics to force the landowner to give up. if you want to own more than 6 hectares, the remaining hectares should be named to different dummy owner which controlled by you to avoid detections from DAR.

CARP is a CRAP and should be SCRAP. it is worst law congress ever passed. anybody should be able to own any hectares of land without having to deal with the gestapo tactics of DAR, intimidation of the militant organizers and the harrassment of the peasants. investors are reluctant to invest because of so much restrictions that don't make sense.

PART 1: In 1997, when the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) granted the land to the farmers, through Certificates of Land Ownership Awards. Land owner Norberto Quisumbing contested the DAR decision, with a promise of vast improvement to the property that would also benefit the farmers.

PART 2: The DAR denied Quisumbing's pleadings, but the man had friends in high places, among them Bukidnon Gov. Carlos Fortich, who wrote to then President Fidel Ramos about the matter. Ramos' Executive Secretary Ruben Torres forthrightly had the land released to Quisumbing.

PART 3: The farmers did not give up. They staged a 28-day hunger strike right in front of the DAR central office. The whole nation watched. Ramos, the consummate "win-win" politician more Solomonic than Solomon, gave the farmers 100 hectares, Quisumbing, 44. It didn't end there.

PART 4: The Supreme Court validated Torres and awarded all 144 hectares to Quisumbing, in 1997. Two years before the first decade of the new century ends, it turns out the man has not developed the land any. Not the 24 hectares he said would be the Development Academy of Mindanao;

PART 5: ; the 67 hectares of the Bukidnon Agro-Industrial Park; the 33 hectares for Forest Development; the 20 hectares for Support Facilities that would have included a 360-room hotel, nothing. He instead sold the land to San Miguel Foods Inc., which now plans to put up a farm of 4,400 female breeder pigs and 44,000 piglets.

SMC will never give this farmers an inch of dirt. they'll build a hog farm in this 144 hectare of land and protest organizers knows their fate that they're losing the PR game. their only hope is political action and focus their blamed on the president. court action is done, legislative folks will not comment on dirt issue. nasser is the executioner who can put this whole thing to a complete halt.
