There's a use for this if modified. Whether or not an led is attached, one can also attach the nodes to a small micro contoller (such as an arduino for beginners). This can then log the exact time, date, thus duration of each save in a gaming session for one particular game you choose. When recording long gaming sessions with a scart/composite capture card, this information is very useful when editing out all the unwanted attempts at completing a given game level into a seemless Lets Play video.

and where did you get the resistor like can you get it from radio shack

@Xvidgamer1 we dont have Radio Shack stores here in germany, I bought both LED and resistor at reichelt. I think you should get those part at radio shack. or any other electronics shop or even ebay, since they are absolutely common. nothing special.

How many gb is your memory card because my memory card has a different disign I have the same memory card

it has 64MB (not GB!). every Card has a different design. but the pins to use are allways the same. just follow the contacts from those pins to a point you can solder easily.
