Recorded at Notre Dame Hall, 19 July 1979. These two pieces were originally not released with the rest of the concert LP Document And Eyewitness. Both tracks were re-recorded by Colin Newman for his solo album 'Not To' from 1982. These recordings were finally released on the compilation Turns And Strokes.
Most of the demos I've heard by Wire were done in a punk vein. Its like they need to get something down for the record and thats their way of doing it. A lot of their songs develop a long way before final release.

@napoleonbonerpart I agree, they definitely start out with a certain raw feel.

Wow, the Not To version of Lorries is a completely different song. Why did they even retain the title?

I'm actually reading the WIRE documentary right now, and I think it's kind of a pattern with them, where, say, Colin writes some lyrics, hands it to Bruce or Graham and they take care of the rest, or any which way. They did that to a lot of tracks, and this might be an example.
