I checked the bottle out, today, at my fav beer store and the label does look the same and the abv was 6.8.

The Bison did have a big head and it was pretty fluffy. I didn't notice a born on date. I might try the beer again to see if my experience was due to getting a bad bottle.

I agree, that I like the Bison IPA more so than the Butte Creek.
Was there a "born on date" for your Bison?
The recent Bison IPA's Ive had, appear to have a slightly different label (from what I can remember), were 7% abv,had a tremendous amount of head (of course I like my beers around 50-55f), and seemed more like a Belgian IPA with the off white fluffy/foamy head.

I thought the Bison IPA was pretty good. We can't get the other one here, though.

@ChadzBeerReviews Yeah, this one was done very early in my "career". I wear glasses/contacts all the time. It's mostly contacts , and now reading glasses :-( Just wait until you get over 40, it's GREAT!!!

Personally, I'm not so sure it is a good idea to review 2 beers together. It seems like you can't really do justice to either beer that way. You could have conflicting flavors that don't work together. Sorry, I don't mean to be overly critical but that is just my opinion.

I think that as long as I'm reviewing two beers of the same style I shouldn't run into too many problems. The direct comparison is interesting as I'm getting almost instant feedback. I might miss some subtle flavors but I think overall it is a good thing.
You aren't being overly critical at all. You are just expressing your opinion and you're doing it without being rude, which is a nice change from some of the other comments I get from time to time.
