Jailbreak iPhone 3G on 4.0.1, 4.0.2 mms and data fix! [ORIGINAL]

READ!!!
1. If you've already jailbroken ur iphone on ios 4.O or some other firmware. Then restore your iPhone+update to 4.0.1. If not, then just update it to 4.0.1

2. Download Redsn0w

3. Run Redsn0w and jailbreak.

The 4.0.1 fixes the MMS problem some people had (they couldn't send MMS). I had this problem too and now its fixed.

This jailbreak allows the 3G to have multitasking and freedom of 3rd party apps. I am not responsible for any damage to your iphone or computer. Download and run at your own risk.

Um hi, If i JBed it with spirit and use redsnow and i restored settings in the itunes 9.2.1 will it be broken? btw im using 3gs

first off, some people have complications when using this method for the 3gs :-/

if you restore it, then you will loose ur break. but i recommend it.

So restore it and jailbreak it with iRa1n. I dont have my hands on a 3GS. but when i do I"ll post a vid on how to jailbreak with iRa1n. Good luck!

hi, i have jail broken and unlocked my IPhone 3G to 4.0. Can i just update it to 4.0.1 ?? Or Shd i need to jailbreak it again ??

if you update it you'll loose ur jailbreak. If you dont have problems on the 4.0 its not a big deal. but i didnt have mms when i had it on 4.0. So i restored it. then updated it to 4.0.1 then jailbroke with redsn0w. hope this helped.

did you have the same issue? I was getting worse reception at first. but then i just went into SBSettings and turned off my 3G. so I'm usually on Edge or Wifi (at home/ on campus) now. With Edge and wifi i get 5 bars almost all the time. But for some reason I only get 2-4 bars on 3G.
