The planes crashing into the WTC towers were a distraction to keep people looking up so no one would down at the base of the buildings at the shape charges taking out key structural components one by one until

collapse was achieved.

@jasonmoyer Israeli nationals posing as movers and repair men (documented), who had been working on the elevator shafts and moving furniture in and out for over a month prior to the attacks.
