"The Power Of Nightmares" makes the claim that "al Qaeda" doesn't even exist. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the other reason for torture was to get these prisoners to claim it does just so the Bush Administration and the Neocons could have a boogyman to create fear and have the American Public support their takeover of the Middle East to grab the oil.
