What I don't get is why 8 of our councilfolk want to take this risk? Who are they benefiting? We get four lanes instead of six and a jump in value for waterfront real estate owners who have no skin in the game. They only people at risk are Seattle homeowners.

Voting on it would cost money, and we all know it would do just what the mayor wants: Stop the tunnel. Why can't the legislators do the right thing??
