@eloril I'm using a Contour HD. I just turned it off and on throughout the ride whenever an interesting part of the ride came up. Battery will last about 3-hours that way (so I switched it just in case after 90-mins). In the end I had over 70 separate bits of video which I edited down to 5-mins. Helmet mount definitely the go. I tried a handlebar mount previously but got too much vibration.

Great video! did you record the entire thing or just segments? Did it require the battery pack? I had my gopro on my handlebars but it snapped off the mount going through the rough roads on the national park. :( might have to try the helmet mount next year.
