  • IS THAT RYTHYM SOMETHING LATIN ?

  • Well... sorta

This music has its roots in 1970s Jazz-rock "Fusion" which incorporates a lot of styles. One of the well known bands form this era, that incorporated spanish or latin feels was Chick Corea and the Return to Forever band. Later the guitarist, ( Al Di Meola ) continued that flavor on his albums. The drummer on my two live cuts ( Mingo Lewis) toured with the Al Di Meola band in the day. Hence the similarities. During the jams I did find myself channeling Al on guitar..

    Peace,

    Dr R

  • DrRyman strikes again!!!! Smokin hot!! What's more, this is real music, not just playing with toys. The musicianship of the band is stellar - one can hear the non-verbal communication going on. Am afraid that with DrRyman on the "realstrat" keyboard, I will have to put away my guitars and take up the cajon and tambourine full-time! Thanks for sharing this awesome talent!

  • this improv jam is crushingly beautiful. DrRyman achieves sounds outside the Western scale that have never been heard before on a virtual (keyboard) guitar. brilliant! music that is at once futuristic and grounded in sounds we know from the present and past. it blew me away.
