Same from me, Philip. This was written after the death of Busoni's mentor Luigi Cimoso in 1884. I think it's a cracking transcription but it is very difficult to play and I can't see myself performing it any time soon. Busoni disowned it pretty much in later life-and his trenchant views on Wagner are fairly well documented. I have a recording of it by Cyprien Katsaris. Many thanks and much respect to Denis for this excellent performance.

5* from me! I had no idea that Busoni had done any Wagner transcriptions, and can't think why this very effective one is not better known.
