Two high school seniors describe their experience of hosting a blood drive and the fun they had involving not just the students who were old enough to donate blood, but the entire local community. Paige and Todd also discuss the personal impact their project had on themselves. This piece underscores the power teenagers have to help others. This blood donation advocacy video was produced by In The Telling with educational funding from Johnson & Johnson.

I'm a junior and I signed up and gave blood at the blood drive yesterday. It wasnt scary at all. I'm so happy I did it and definitely plan on donating again next year

  • Hello! I am a recruiter for United Blood Services and I can't tell you how important high school blood drives are. We would not survive without our high school donors. Thank you!

  • I am a regular blood donor. I am 20 years old. I started giving on Monday, October 20, 2008.

  • Amazing what a couple of motivated 17 year olds can do! Doing the math, these kids saved over 1200 lives with their efforts. Thank you!
