@deepto99 Thanks for this info.

Indians get robbed at gun point and start shaking their heads.

I'm from India I do it cus a freaking mozzy is flying in my skull & I can't shake it.
-
@Crucifer3 Two things I hate with Indians is that stupid head bobble and the phrase "That is not possible."
-
@PervyPartisan No, it may just mean he's a great guy. Don't assume everything a white person says is racist; that's racist.
-
And yeah, when they don't want to be straightforward they do that to be kind of conservative....
-
I am not indian, and don't know if this story is true or not, but I have many indian friends and have seen that they move their head around when they are talking...I think it has different meaning depending on the situation and what they are talking about and sometime it's funny ;)

@deepto99: really? wow i didn't realise this. thanks.

Joe, This dickhead has absolutely no idea about Indian history. Just so you know, this head bob is done by only the people who come from a specific part of South India ( and thiese people were mostly living on trees during the British period or India's freedom struggle ). The rest 95% of population shakes their head normally to indicate Yes or No like the rest of the world. Ofcourse, there being a predominance of people from South India in US, you are likely to think its an "Indian" thing.

Britain ruled India for 400 years? He needs to read history. British Raj started in 1858 to 1947. The Company Raj started in 1757 with only small portion of the Indian Subcontinent.
Try negotiating with them. That head starts a bobbing like crazy when you start talking money!
