  • Wild berry picking is so theraputic. How fun of you to share your berry picking adventures, thank you! You two got hooked up with great varities. Yum! love to see you enjoy them on cam too. The Redwoods area in the background are so beautiful. I love all the green and hefty strong brown colors of tree trunks, humble and proud. Your road trip looks like it was so fun, thanks for bringing us along. Ps. Julie, you are so naturally pretty, face of an angel, honestly. Pears! plums! berries! apples!

  • Thanks a bunch! I will keep you posted for sure!

  • we went right through your area on our roadtrip... there are loads of all of the berries mentioned on the video both north and south of you, however mostly north. and the further north you go, the more likely to find thimbleberries. they should be ripening in the next week to two or three weeks, they love late summer! hope you find some treasure! if you take the Avenue of the Giants road near the redwoods....LOADED with blackberries but a little further from you..

  • I am about 20 minutes south of San fran, I will head north sometime soon and see what I can find! : )

  • not at all. berries are all over the roadsides, etc... you just have to make sure you know what they are, as some berries are poisonous. also, talk to local farmers, ranger stations, and health stores. they can often tip you off to great harvesting areas. some plants will be very obvious and easy to identify, but others will take a little research. all in all, its rather simple. arent you near san fran? i get our viewers mixed up sometimes.. :) loads of wild stuff north of you if you are

  • Is it difficult finding places to harvest berries and herbs?

  • delicious...we wish we picked more blackberries. now that we know the abundance of berries up there, next year we will harvest loads of them and pack a big huge cooler!
