reality is truth. If this guy killed his grandpa before his grandpa had his dad, then his dad never had him. So he never existed. But if he didn't exist, then he never went back in time and killed his grandpa, so his grandpa had his dad and his dad had him. Since reality is truth, this isn't true. There has to be some kind of reality law to fix it.

@brianman4815162342 I think that when you kill your grandfather, another universe without you, your family and your father is automatically created.

@vhayes8886 The return trip is impossible, but if you killed your grandfather as he went forward in time you never existed, and then you couldn't have killed your grandfather.

@vhayes8886 What I mean is that if you go backwards in time to kill your grandfather, you never existed right? Now, if your grandfather were to go forward in time, but he got killed, but you killed him, you also would have never existed. Am I correct?

I just realized something. Forward time travel is just as impossible as backwards time travel! Say your grandfather were to go forward in time. Then you kill him. The same logic used in the grandfather paradox to the rest of this.

So basically if I went to the past and killed my grandpa before he met my grandma I wouldn't exist and would go to a parallel universe? Or should I never have been born at all. Cuz if I killed my grandpa before then then I couldn't have killed him since I don't exist but that wouldn't be possible since I am here now!??? Right? I'm 16 shut up

The moment his grandfather broke his neck it created a parallel universe in which the grandfather that died was the grandfather of his parallel self. Since the past is fixed his grandfather still lived, and so he was able to be born. He was only able to create a parallel reality in which the alternate him wouldn't be born.

in the theoy that past cant be changed, you always return to the past, but the events will most likely ended in that you can born, and u will return.....

i like the theory that past cant change, so if u return to the past and kill your granpa, there is still "some way" to u to exist so u can return, maybe that guy wasnt your grandpa, or u try kill him and fail, but you "must" exist in some way to return to the past and try to "change it".....
