Yeah it is a 1gzFe. "F" being a common part of all of toyota's economy based engines where as "G" (such as 2jzGe or 3sGe) would mean it is more sport oriented engine... to put it in simpler terms...

The Century V12 engine is seriously detuned. In stock form it only delivers 275hp. It was designed to be an extremely smooth running and reliable engine which could top a million miles (no joke).

ITT: People who have no idea. The 1GZ is essentially two 1JZ (not 2JZ) engines, a total of 5L displacement. It is only used by Toyota in the Century, which is basically a limousine, where its power is restricted and emphasis is on comfort, not speed. In this video, this engine, twin turbo, outputs 553PS but if you look it up on google or even some of the related videos, you will see it is later tuned to around 1000hp (200hp/L) and taken to 400km/h, about the same as a Bugatti Veyron's top speed.

@SirRobbins 350hp is the WHP, the crank hp is around 290 which pretty weak for a V12. It does provide more toque than the 2jz though.

@Naizarak Maybe if you could read the description where it says Toyota Century Engine (V12) 5L, 553 HP? So obviously 553 HP before Turbo.

You forget its 553 PS not bhp PS is higher than bhp also i believe this was the low boost set up so they could probably put another 20 psi thru the turbos or more.
