We were grateful to Aimi for bringing this popular but challenging piece to the Nagoya recital because the polonaise isn't in her main repertoire and, as you will hear, she wasn't quite on top of parts of it! Nevertheless, hearing a pianist of Aimi's level playing a piece that's still "in prep" has a fascination of its own.
The audience enjoyed the performance, and we hope you will too.
By the way, the sound on these videos is excellent and we recommend the use of headphones if you don't have good speakers.

  • Oh yay!!! It's finally here! You have absolutely no idea how long I've been waiting to hear this... Yes, I agree, it's not flawless, but musically it's a signature Aimi-the passion, depth, and beauty is all there! This is going straight to my amazing Aimi playlist...

  • The bridge section was sublime.

Technically she's played things a lot harder than this piece with fewer mistakes. It's a difficult piece for small hands, however, which might account for some of the mistakes.

  • @12391946 naaaa check out martha argerich performance ! is much cleaner and more delicate then lang lang performance !

  • @SoliGrand haha your right. but it is bad that i've heard a little mistake? ok this is enough. i dont wanna talk about this damn thing... were just making things difficult. ok? haha

  • She was good but I think she didn't have enough power! Lang Lang is the most remarkable for playing Polonaise!

  • @MrJeremiahValenzuela :o she should stop playing the piano, right? But seriously, even Horowitz made mistakes. Everyone who's complaining about a few mistakes should only listen to midi files. I wish her all the best and the most important: enjoy your playing (but I'm sure she does). I love her smile at the end :)

  • I THINK THERE IS ROSIN ON THE CLOTH.FOR GRIP?

  • nice nice nice
