  • @kanuskiz: i'm sorry but i disagree with you. have you even read the manga twice? the ending for the manga couldn't have been better. subtle hints have been even dropped at as early as the 2nd volume of the manga to make up for the ending so it's actually a well-thought, well-organized finale.

  • Fukubei was the real Friend, who set the whole plan up. After his death, the boy who everyone thought killed himself in the science room became a pathetic replacement (character-wise; story-wise it was still awesome).

Yeah, the movies look extremely cheesy.

  • Whats with illuminati sign ?

  • @cesarer92 I wouldn't mind that but I gotta say, I'm pretty satisfied with the live action

  • This Manga MUST have an ANIME adaptation

  • @Rmlohner

Oh well, the "pathetic replacement boy" make the plan better than Fukubei did. And...when Fukubei died? When he fall from that palace? Or in the science room, after years and years?

The point of the manga is that there is a Friend, no matter who's behind the Mask. That's why he have followers even after his death.

However, ALL the answers to all the questions are in the first part of the volume 16 (tankobon), all chapters including Superhuman.

  • actually it the same ending as the manga it is from another volume of the manga series called 21st century boys

  • A part of me thinks 20th Century Boys is better suited to animation.

  • Best. Movie. Ever.

  • To be forgotten is worse than death.
