Cleaning procedure on the kimber ultra carry II. Pretty standard 1911 cleaning. I forgot to mention that you need to wipe down the magazine and entire gun when you're done. It's good to keep finger prints and grease off the handgun because it can be corrosive to the metal.

  • Hi Wishbone. About how many rounds do you have thru your Ultra Carry - & about how many rounds would you say it would take to break the gun in. I heard it takes many more rounds to break in a smaller 45 than a larger one. Thanks. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • @buzzclark Hi James, I probably have about 1700 or so into it now. It took some tweaking and about 1000 rounds before I was happy with it reliability wise. I can't really comment on the large vs small "break in". That's the first I've heard of that and this is the only Kimber I own.
