  • The F-4E simulator I worked on in the Air Force used a GP4 computer with drum memory. When I got there they had just upgraded to solid state memory so I never saw core memory.

  • thats a lot of cable tv connectors but wait........ 35kb of DVR!

  • I remember this, when I entered military service there was a sixteen bit magnetic memory core used by LORAN systems, and it was the old technology the was abandoned and transferred to other nations, as the GPS replaced many navigation systems. There is more to go in computer technology, as we see people already wanting the Next Big Thing.
