hey guys. first of all: respect! my friends and i were thinking about doing 5 weeks of europe next summer. question: where did you sleep in arcachon.. is there a camp ground or did you just sleep in the woods or w/e?! haha

there are campsites, but they are usually full during summer. there are awesome places to camp in the woods at the dune. you can walk along the beach or on top of the dune and look for a place to sleep in the woods, there are really great places where you hardly meet any people. if so, they tell you not to start a campfire "pas de feu!", they won't get angry if you don't leave garbage... arcachon is great!

Hey, I noticed that you said you were all 16 and 17 when you did this interrail trip. How easy was it getting around at that age? I'm planning on doing a trip next year when I'm 17. Looks like you had absolute awesome time!

there was no problem with the age... the only problems you have during interrail are finding a place to sleep, and finding the next toilet. but after some time you get experienced ;)

Thanks so much, really helped. I've got some friends that are keen to do it, just money they're concerned about. How much did it roughly cost you guys each for the 3+weeks?? The rest of Europe (apart from the UK) seem to be pretty relaxed on the camping and drinking...that's great news! ha-ha

you can plan the same money the ticket cost again for the food and night trains and campsites. we were very spare, so you should calculate always more.

the more you get to the south the better are places to camp illegally ... we did this a lot... get a regional train to some small village, search for a place where you aren't seen, wait till it's dark, then pitch your tent. in the morning get away when the sun rises.

hey guys. I'm planning a interRail with 2 or 3 friends. We have a spring school vacations in April and we planning a trip by some countries in europe for 5 or 6 days.

We are portuguese and we want to see 3 or 4 countries. Can you tell me how must you spend in your trip? and you sleep in train or in "anyplace like in a camp"?

Interrail ist schon ne geile sache, bin vorgestern wiedergekommen. Es waren die geilsten Sommerferien, die ich jemals hatte. Wir drei haben 15 Läander bereist. Der Osten war defintiv geiler ( weil billiger und anders), als der Westen. kann ich jedem nur empfehlen
