20 days till Pinks All Out

This is an update. Still putting the engine together. I'm hoping to hear it run again on Saturday.

I added a bloopers section to this vid. I was having trouble with the valve locks. Usually I put a lil greese on them but at the time I didn't have any..

NOTE: When Head Bolts are being torqued, they are done in sequence. All 30 foot pounds, then all 60 foot pounds, and final 120 foot pounds. This torque is for my engine only.

Personally though I use hi-temp teflon thread sealer on all head, intake, thermostat, and water pump\timing cover bolts. Probably not as important for a engine that will be apart again in the not too distant future (race purposes).

Chevy head bolts need a sealer on the thread so your correct on thoses. Big Block Ford head bolts don't go into coolant. I'll agree with the teflon sealer as I use it on my customers cars as well.
