Our practice has been using 2" gauze to tie on e-collars around patients' necks. Since the gauze doesn't last long, a client used a bandana because her dog's e-collar needed to stay on for 2 weeks. Our new e-collar "tie" will be strips of material we cut off the bandanas we currently use for boarding or bathed dogs. Using pinking shears will delay any fraying of the material and a variety of fabric patterns can be used.
I just use the dog's collar and thread it through.
