Unboxing Video No. 22: Not Excatly the "Best of the Best."

Here's one of the more obscure Sega Genesis titles: "Best of the Best - Chapionship Karate." Sadly, I fear this game was not based on the 1989 martial arts film that carries the same title. But, I promise you, it is not it's lack of sponsorship which makes this fighting game mediocre, at best. If you enjoy collecting for the Sega Genesis or, even, find it amusing to play a terrible title once in a while just for fun, like I do, I really see no reason to purchase it. The game, however, makes a great addition to my ever-growing Sega Genesis collection, as it looks great on a shelve. ;)

I've only known this game to be released on the Turbografx-16. Didn't know it came out on the Genesis too. At least the animation is fluid on the genesis.

Does anyone actually understand the controls? Especially how to block, and how to change direction when ur stuck facing the wrong direction???

That's the spirit. Lol. The game does have a number of funny-looking moments. The instruction manual does help a bit.

Thanks Pete. It sure does look like a Kickboxing title instead. I have no idea why they called it Karate on the Genesis version. Lol. =)
