why not use clorox spray and a towel or those clorox wipes

I see all the cleaners unnecessary. I just use Mrs Meyers All Purpose, Window Cleaner, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, and Counter top spray.

@shaftahoy - Sodium bicarbonate is a component of the mineral natron and found in mineral springs.
When you clean with baking soda, you don't pollute. Man made chemicals pollute the environment and some are dangerous if you mix them together.
Tthe corporate giants charge you $ 3 - $ 4 for something they have concocted in their mad little labs. A $ 0.69 box of baking soda does a better job of cleaning faucets than any expensive corporate concocted cleaner.

the best thing to clean a faucet is baking soda. Dump a little baking soda on the side of the basin, moisten a toothbrush and scrub all around the faucet. If there is a lot of buildup, let it set overnight. Then rinse. Faucet will be clean and shiny - like you polished it. And you will not be using any chemicals - like 409 ! Be environment friendly ! This cost is much less also.
