@davidestundieu bestbuy is not commission for their service plans, I work for bestbuy, I know this. Managers and Supervisors get a bonus for certain percentages of service, but regular employees get nothing more than their standard wage, trust me, I know, I've sold hundreds of plans and I get nothing for it. As for "finding a employee" that is up to that stores scheduling. Not every store is like that. As for "experts" that is on a store by store basis. We beat our f-shop daily by almost 15k

@KrowLithium Well, Bestbuy is at comission for their service plans, they simply do not make comission out of the products themselves. Pricing is pretty much the same between both, but the service can only be found in Future Shop stores. In Best Buy, they say it's a "no pression" store, where you won't have anyone trying to talk to you... lol. Well you have to find the salesman, and he doesn't know much about the product compared to Future Shop sales experts. But both have nice prices.

This is a great place to work for students, but to say that this (FA or BB) is the place you want to work until retirement shows no intelligence or that they are full of lies on these employees. Besides I'm sure FS will desappear once BB grows stronger.

ok FS pays in commission, but if we sell them things they dont need, they get returned.if they get returned i dont get payed.

so i have to care about the complete solution

bestbuy can care less about what they sell, not have to become PRODUCT EXPERTS because a thousand dollar package will be the same as a 10 dollar cable.

i currently work at fs in winnipeg, more than a couple years, and winnipeg has the hardest market in canada, lol were cheap

This is pretty smart for Best Buy, considering they own both brands (BB and FS); either way, they're making a killing. There are pros and cons to both of them. The biggest is the commission factor:

FS pays their people via commission which can result in salespeople selling customer things they don't need or pressuring them. But;

BB pays hourly wages, which can result in salespeople not giving a shit about what you get.

I worked at the FS in Saskatoon, and would switch to BB in a heartbeat!
