Peace and Love: Song at the Ethiopia Conference

In this short video, Mogomotsi "Supreme" Mfalapitsa -- a gender activist who works for EngenderHealth in South Africa -- rouses an Ethiopian youth conference with the song "Peace and Love."
In October 2007, EngenderHealth co-hosted a conference with the Ethiopian Ministry of Health to explore the specific needs of youth. More than 45 representatives participated, coming from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Save the Children, the Population Council, Eshet, UNFPA, Hiwot, PACT, and many others. The meeting received regional and national media attention.
The group focused on interventions to help prevent unwanted social and health outcomes, such early marriage, early and unwanted pregnancy, and HIV infection. The meeting concluded with a consensus Call to Action.
