I propose that the words have been recorded wrong for this song...I think the chorus goes like this:

" 'Cause Like a Princess she was laying there..." I just think it sounds more like what I am hearing...

Oh! A little confession, I took my first drink of beer at age 5 when my dad had been working on the van he was customizing (a used South Central Bell '65 Chevy) and went in the house for something and a left his bottle sitting on the edge of the van. I came from the back yard where I'd been playing and was looking for something to drink and took a big swig of that Miller since it was there after all. I remember putting it down too fast and it shot that beer foam up my nose, lol...

Thanks! I've got an '87 G-20 work van and fell in love with these things in the 70's when I was a little kid and my dad was customizing a '65 Chevy van (one of the flat faced ones with the engine in between the seats). I had a Dodge B-200 SWB custom job when I was 18. A jim dandy decked out with hardwood parkay squares, desert murals, a little metal plate on the back that had the hippie and "keep on truckin'..." inscribed oh! and in big reflective letters said "GOOD TIMES MACHINE" I miss it!

Damn that brought back some memories...I was thirteen when I heard this song, and I still remember wantingone of this vans more than anythingin the world. It was part yearning for a vehicle, part having a cool room of your own, and all about getting the chicks
